HOUSE OF BRICKS is a rip-roaring comedy show hosted by your three best friends Hannah Boone, Brandon Ream and Gideon Hambright. The second Friday of every month they bring out their absolute favorite comedians to tell jokes, party and have an all around good time. It’s the most fun you’ll ever have in Brooklyn, put together by the nicest people you’ll ever meet. MUSIC DIRECTOR: Jody Shelton Jody Shelton (Director) began his career as musical director for the Second City National Touring Company, and performed with renowned musical improv ensemble Baby Wants Candy for fifteen years. In 2012, he co-wrote the hit parody 50 Shades! The Musical, which had an extended run at the Elektra Theatre in New York, and has been performed throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. 50 Shades! can currently be seen at Bally’s in Las Vegas. Jody’s latest musical, co-written with Emmy and Peabody winner Peter Gwinn (The Colbert Report) is the Jeff recommended The Story of a Story (The Untold Story), which opened at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago in October, 2015. Jody has also released three critically acclaimed albums as solo artist, and two more with his band, Daughter & Son. Jody’s next projects include a documentary series for television chronicling the writing of a new musical through improv, and a new musical parody called Star Wars: The Farce Awakens. We will meet for bag drop at UrbanGlass and then embark on a colorful 3.1-mile Art Run to see the best new murals and Brooklyn street art. Ugly sweaters strongly encouraged :) All levels welcome! We run at a relaxed, 10-minute-mile pace, with stops for photos along the way. You won't want to miss our last Brooklyn Art Run of the year! What you get: An incredible, guided 5K running tour of the best street art in Brooklyn led by a local art expert, and access to all the amazing Art Run professional photos from our Runstreet photographer Marques Jackson. Forget Painting Nights, join us for an afternoon where you can eat your artwork!! Welcome to NYC's only Gay Gingerbread House Making Class, Cocktails & Holiday Cartoons Party for adults only! It will be an afternoon of holiday cheer as you come together with other fun members of TheMenEvent and friends for socializing eating and drinking. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A GINGERBREAD HOUSE YOU WILL NEED TO PREREGISTER AND PAY BELOW. You can not just show up as we will only have enough Gingerbread Houses for the number of people who registered ahead of time. What to expect from The Gingerbread Making Class: -You will receive on Gingerbread House making kit complete with all you need to decorate it. -There will be a Gingerbread House foreman on hand to help you with construction and tips on decorating. You can also have other participants help you which will make it more fun! -We will give you special bags so that you can transport your finished house back home -A contest to see who has the most beautiful houses 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (with prizes!) -Access to a full menu so you can eat and drink while you are building Please arrive on time so that we can get everyone started at the same time.
