Drunk Science is a live show hosted by comedians Joanna Rothkopf (deputy editor, Esquire), Shannon Odell (neuroscience PhD student at Weill Cornell) and Jordan Mendoza (once played a doctor in a webseries). Every month, three intoxicated comedians compete to present the best scientific dissertation to a panel of real scientists. - Ryan Beck Ryan Beck is a New York based comedian from St. Louis, Missouri. He is a digital creator for Comedy Central and is featured daily on the show Comedy Central Every Damn Day on YouTube. Ryan has also appeared on MTV’s Girl Code and Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He's been a guest on The Bob and Tom Show and Sirius XM. As a writer, he’s contributed to the Comedy Central Roasts of Bob Saget, Roseanne Barr and James Franco and The Road to Roast Battle. He has written and produced his web series #RyanBeckShow and the interactive short film We Need To Talk. Ryan's stand up has been featured in the New York Comedy Festival, Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and Limestone Comedy Festival. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, and has also completed training at the UCB theatre in New York. - Special Guest Scientist, Dr. Zhana Vrangalova, PhD Dr. Zhana Vrangalova is a NYC-based sex researcher, writer, and educator. She completed her PhD in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University, where she studied how different aspects of sexuality (especially casual sex/promiscuity and mostly heterosexuality) are linked to health and well-being. She is an adjunct professor at the NYU Psychology department where she teaches Human Sexuality.
