Technopolis Brooklyn Podcast Festival 3:30pm Door • 4:00pm Show • $8 Technopolis is the soon-to-released podcast from CityLab that explores how tech innovation is transforming cities—for better and for worse. Through smart conversations with experts and city leaders, we’ll hear what it’s like to be inside the companies and city governments that are grappling with urban innovation. We’ll investigate what’s going well (or not), and what city officials, technologists, and citizens need to know to make sure we get the future we want. CityLab is committed to telling the story of the world’s cities: how they work, the challenges they face, and the solutions they need. About the Host Jim Kapsis is the founder of The Ad Hoc Group Inc., an advisory firm that helps startups grow innovative businesses in complex regulated markets, such as clean energy, mobility, and smart cities. He has been a Senior Advisor to Sidewalk Labs, Alphabet’s urban venture, and has served in multiple levels of government including as a climate negotiator in the Obama Administration. Jim lives with his wife and three daughters in Alexandria, Virginia where he chairs the City’s Environmental Policy Commission and serves on the board of its transit company. All ticket holders are invited to attend a complimentary Happy Hour hosted by Citylab at Camp David starting at 5pm.
