Welcome to NY Goat Yoga, NY's first-ever goat yoga business, bringing joy and wellness to the New York community since 2017. We took New York State by storm, and now we will be shaking it down in Brooklyn!
What is Goat Yoga? Well, it's just like a regular yoga, with stretching, postures and breathing, except with adorable and friendly goats wandering around. It is truly as much fun as it sounds. However, there are other reasons we are coming to the city.
As part of the growing interest in holistic approaches to wellness, sustainability, farming, and reinvention, we are coming to bring connection and education. The mission of our Brooklyn Pop-Up studio is to teach yoga and to educate our students on the benefits and healing powers of human-animal connection. Goats are animated, curious, intuitive and gentle animals. They enjoy human interaction and not only connect with humans, but help humans connect with each other. Goat Yoga is also an example of reinvention and creativity used to sustain rural and farm life. Unfortunately, many New York farms go out of business every day, leaving the new generations of farm families facing reinvention or extinction. Goat Yoga is one of many creative ways new generations of farmers are bringing awareness to their farms and are able to sustain their lifestyle.
NY Goat Yoga and our adorable (and pretty famous) goats have been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, The Untitled Action Bronson Show, Inside Edition, Daybreaker NYC, WPIX11, Cycle of Health, Self Magazine (Online), BInspired In-Flight Magazine (Brussels Airlines), Jessie On A Journey Travel Blog, Nippon Television Network (Japan), International News Report (Japan), The Daily Star, Hometown Oneonta, Exploring Upstate New York Blog, The Points Guy Travel Blog and many more!
