March 1933 marked the last gasp of the notorious Weimar Republic, a world in which all manner of deviance and subversion was on display. Amidst political turmoil and fear, Weimar musicians, dancers, and artists used daring performances and music to oppose oppression and create a world of glitter and doom. 85 years to the month of its demise, Dorothy Darker, and Dee Dee Vega invite you to join us in one night of abandon. The world outside may be full of despair, but inside love, sensuality, queerness, decadence, and art will reign supreme.
Welcome to CABARET LUXE!
Join us on Saturday, March 31st, at 9pm for an evening of music, burlesque, film, and revelry. Dorothy Darker will emcee, while we will witness burlesque performances both shocking and divine by Deity, Divina GranSparkle, and Lewd Alfred Douglas. The cabaret punk band Amour Obscur helmed by Dee Dee Vega makes it’s glorious return for to the stage with new music and old favorites reflecting this divisive political age.
